My experience of Mindfulness is that it is a very powerful tool to balance out all the stressors of today's society, as well as inner stressors.
Awareness/concsiousness, attention and compassion, with oneself and others, are words that I associate with Minfulness. In short, it's about being more in tune with ones life, living it the moment it happens and not in the past or in the future. Important, since "now" is ultimately all we actually know that we have.
